Love it!! Colors and texture are just what I expected…beautiful rug, very happy with it!Perfect with the area rug!Gorgeous in person. Looks expensiveVery pretty. Colors just as picturedAfter pealing the outer two layers of plastic wrap off the rug, I took a whiff & boy did it smell. It reminded me of a chemical plant or in Chemistry Lab where an experiment went bad. Never had that happen to me before with a new rug - but I never have purchased a manmade “fiber” rug. Since it is made from polypropylene - as many rugs are going in that direction - it will have an odor. That is the polypropylene releasing it’s gases & it can be a a real negative to some folks. I would advise to keep the room well ventilated until the odor has passed. The rug is white with dark blue “object” randomly placed on it giving it a “no pattern” appearance. It is pleasing to the eye. However I would suggest finding where you plan to place it & make sure that it aesthetically fits that room.I did not “read” the label before ordering the rug. Its appearance, texture, stiffness, thickness, etc. - was radically new to me. This rug has a sheen to the surface, it is soft, low cut, & is thinner - both in thickness & pile thickness - than the other natural fiber rugs that I have. I have read that it is best - usually is for any area rug - to use a rug mat. I have also read that it is not recommended to use this rug over another rug/carpet. Since my downstairs area was converted to ceramic wood planks that was not a problem for me. I placed it in my “office / computer” room. The size fit nicely in the center of the room. However, I have two problems: The desk chair will not roll over the rug - yes I knew that - and I need to use a chair mat - yes I knew that. But that is the problem - a polypropylene rug’s fibers crush easily and do not spring back into shape very well. It is also advised not to use it in a high traffic area. If I put a chair mat over the rug & roll over it while sitting in my desk chair, I will most likely crush the low pile & it would be in a “high” traffic area with the chair rolling over it. Another issue is that this rug does not like direct sunlight unless it was chemically treated. I have a sliding glass widow-door in that room with the Vegas sun coming through hot & strong. So, now I am boxed in due to my own fault for not reading the label before I ordered the rug. Or maybe I am just being too critical & nit-picky? Heck, get the chair mat & roll over it & enjoy the rug for the next couple of years. It’s not the rug’s fault. But I do recommend “reading” the label & using this type of rug with due caution paid to the do’s & don’t’s about a polypropylene rug. I have to give it 4 stars - the rug didn’t do it!I absolutely love the style of this rug. We put it in the cabin at the mountains in front of a photon. It works great but does tend to slide around quite a bit. I've got to get something to make it stay. While the look is fantastic, it's not as soft or thick as I thought it would be but it is on top of other carpet so it's fine. It's also very cost-effective for a nice look. If you are going to use this on hardwood, I was suggest getting a felt pad to make it comfortable. Overall, it's a nice little impact. In my opinion, this rug looks better in person than in the pictures in the listing. I was very positively surprised with how nice the gently distressed pattern and the colors are. The main color is true navy, which is something I was worried about because in the pictures it looked like a lighter shade of blue and I needed it to be navy. For being a low pile rug and made of polypropylene it is also surprisingly soft under feet. However, when touched with fingers the rug feels synthetic. It is still soft but you can definitely feel that it is made of synthetic fibers. After taking the rug from its wrapping there was quite strong chemical odor. I left the rug unrolled for two days in a room with an open window and the scent went away. The rug lays flat but it will need a rug pad, especially if it is on hard floors because it does slide on its own there.Lovely and plush are arug with the perfect amount of distressed detail. I ordered several rugs around the same time to update some of the rooms in my home and was shocked at the level of "distressing" some of them came with - to the point of being threadbare in some spots. Thankfully, this rug was not like that at all and didn't disappoint when it came to both pattern and density. The colors are beautiful and true to the product photo. Pattern is crisp, bright, and has the perfect amount of "distressed" look to the printing without sacrificing any of the physical rug's depth. My rug was prepared and shipped very securely, tightly bound in plastic wrapping and packaged with attention which included caps on the ends of the rug to prevent any damage to the edges. It was pretty curled up on the ends for a few days and I thought it would never unfurl, but within a few weeks it was laying totally flat. I'm very happy with the rug overall; I ended up ordering a few from this company and the quality of all are satisfactory. I would definitely not hesitate to suggest this brand to others looking for affordable and well made rugs that will give you at least a few years with regular use and routine care. Recommended!
